Role: Cinematic Designer
Working on Returnal and its Ascension DLC was a humongous undertaking, starting first by taking charge as sole cinematic designer to implement the game’s main narrative beats, and then also taking on the task of technical narrative designer to design the narrative levels and gameplay scripting of the first-person horror segments. A great chance to showcase my multilateral abilities!

They say the internet never forgets, and that was foremost on my mind when pushing the visual polish on Returnal’s cinematics, including every in-camera trick I had in my toolbox at the time. The internet graciously put together this highlight reel of my work – though there was much more!
The narrative sequences in Returnal and the Ascension DLC also fell to me to develop, starting with basic floor plans and through to final shipped gameplay, again employing every trick I could muster to present the player an immersive, haunting experience that’s full of seemingly endless mystery!
