/// CINEMATICS ///

[return to showcase]

Most recently I’ve been working out the groundwork for an Untitled Horror Project, starting with fundamental cinematic techniques and creating world ambience. Here you can see my latest WIP for a simple cinematic demonstrating my end-to-end cinematic authoring capabilities!

Thanks to the enduring scrutiny of the internet, here’s a full run through of the cinematics from Returnal, for which I championed the implementation, final edit, and visual polish. Many of these cinematics were my design, made directly in the UE4 sequencer!

These are the narrative interactions from the Foundation DLC for Control, where I was tasked to head up the cinematic design for the first expansion. This meant scripting the dialogue exchanges with the hub NPC, selecting camera angles, triggering animations at key beats, and manually pacing the dialogue flow, alongside integrating the DLC’s other cinematics.

The first and maybe still largest narrative project that I’ve been involved with so far: a police procedural adventure called The Detail, where I crafted the branching narrative structure (using Articy Draft nodes exported into Unity) and developed the cinematic pacing of the interactive story sequences. This video demonstrates our branching gameplay style, and our attempt to push the comic format as an interactive medium!
